With her vast experience, I can simply say to my students that Mathematics is more a subject of practice than listening. A student's practice plays a vital role in his/her success in the Exam of Mathematics. I can say that listening to teachers has just 20% role and practice has almost 80% role in the success of a student in Mathematics. And for keeping on the right path of practice, here are some suggestions for the students:
Focus & understand the basic concepts. And I emphasize the understanding of every concept through its basics.
Try making your own bullet points for final revision. It should include hints for some typical questions. (Do Remember Your Hand Written notes are always good to recall as those are written by yourself according to your own understanding).
Try out yourself, all the examples discussed in the lecture.
Try remembering formulas before beginning the practice of the respective topic. Recalling formulas
from your memory rather than from a book is a very good habit.
Complete thorough practice from the NCERT book including all examples and Miscellaneous Exercise.
While doing practice do remember to mark questions, which you find difficult or most difficult by * or **. So that you can try these questions again while doing the final practice.
Do objective questions from the NCERT Exemplar Book while doing practice.
Do try other questions from NCERT Exemplar Book, once completing the course or on weekends. It
totally depends on you, as how your regular practice of the main book is going on.
Do Attempt Previous Year Questions Once Your Course is Completed.
All resources like video lectures, notes, NCERT solutions, short capsules, assignments, and quizzes are
provided for your thorough study. Try to use each and everything for a complete understanding of the
course.
